Corin Nesbit

Corin is a recent graduate of Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth University; her practice is led by process and raw material combinations. Although more skilled in Ceramics, Corin has developed newfound ability in mixed materials. Originally from Northumberland, she is strongly influenced by the topography of her homeland, industrial heritage and Ancestral connections.

Known, unknown and always remembered.

Corin is currently working on a collection of  vessels that explore the concept of containment and the embedding of narrative. The ‘tool’ is used to represent a precious, meaningful core.

Jesmonite is combined with collected local materials from both Cornwall and her homeland; such as ground stone, charred wood, brick and rusted metal.
