Private View in Tunbridge Wells – By Lizzie Simpson
So, It seems I’m on a writing spree. I’ve been looking through our photo album of our private view and I think it’s only fair we share with you all.
Admittedly we weren’t expecting anyone to actually come to our private view, we’re nine artist from Cornwall exhibiting in Tunbridge Wells, A town we’d been spelling wrong until a few days before. Knowing only Jane (the Artist we’re working with) and Hannah our friend who drove. the outlook wasn’t bright, but the wine portions looking larger.
The convenience of having 9 people in our collective is there was little chance of the exhibition being sparse, all feeling a little delirious and silly from a very long, day of art workshops at Kcollege and no dinner. I’m not sure the ‘Nibbles’ for our private view ever got into the hands of the public.
So, went off to a slow start, until our first guest arrived; my mother, probably our most devoted fan and publicist (to her 9 twitter followers). Then a slow trickle of people who were probably dragged off the street (Joking aside, this guy actually was)
By our surprise it ended up being quite busy, and we didn’t have to pay anyone to turn up! (except with wine) So, again, It’s time for a reel of our lovely photos and less of me rambling. Any enquiries to: Liz@craftbritain.co.uk
